Kevin Kouzmanoff became the 1st player in the history of baseball to hit a grand slam on his very first major league pitch. His glove from the 2009 season with the Oakland A’s, is in the Hall of Fame because he held the highest fielding percentage of all third basemen, of all time. he was drafted by the Cleveland Indians and went on to play for teams such as; the Miami Marlins, The Kansas City Royals, San Diego Padres, Oakland A's, Colorado Rockies and the Texas Rangers. My husband, Adam Reifer, first met Kouz when they played ball together with the Miami Marlins Triple-A team. Their lockers were side by side, so they really got to know each other. Adam says that Kouz is one of the nicest, funniest, most fun guy to be around that he’s ever played with. Today we talk to him about his years in and life after baseball, his family; and we probe into life principles like working hard, ridding yourself of excuses, finding gratitude, knowing when to say no, and so much more.
