Meet Renée The Chic French Country Home

If you are an active Instagram follower then you know #Renée very well, for those who don’t follow my Insta-Stories, let me introduce you to her. Renée is a sweet home located on the edge of our historic district in Riverside, CA. She is about 1,000 sqft. and was recently renovated by our team. Let me reel it back to the beginning and how this renovation came to fruition. Our client’s gave us a call and asked if we could help them renovate their income property, put it on the market and sell it for a profit. Oh and by the way the timeline was six weeks for completion. At this point we had no idea what the property’s condition was, all we knew was that it was occupied by renters for about a year.

Retro Meets East Coastal House

When Adam and I met Rick, a Riverside native with a warm soul, he explained to us that his home had been in his family for two generations and it meant a ton to him. So when it came time for Adam and I to get started working on his family home, it was important to know what Rick was hoping to feel, was it to feel something new? Was it to go back in time and bring the home to it's formal glory? Or was it to move in a new direction while still keeping a hint of his childhood memories of the home? You bet that last one sat well with Rick, and so he asked that I keep the original cabinetry in his kitchen and built ins in the dinning room.
